Georgia Hayward

(she, her)

Georgia Hayward is an emerging contemporary artist based in Meanjin/ Brisbane whose practice explores sociology, human connection and the subsequent role of community consciousness. Working across text-based art, photography and installation, her practice philosophically contemplates the role of relationships as fundamental aspects of the human condition. These works are imbued with vulnerability and intimacy as Georgia draws on her personal histories, and the contributions of her wider communities through participatory engagements. Georgia’s works aim to expand a shared consciousness and to encourage greater social connection and empathetic understanding.
