Dominik Kregar’s art practice utilises sculpture and installation to create a large-scale immersive experience. The actual composition of each work grows outwards like its own organism. These ideas often slowly grow from the mind, into a drawing, then a sculpture, and finally an installation. Through bringing the inner workings of imagination into the physical realm, the work seeks to evoke an emotion of pure ecstatic joy. This is a combination of awe and childlike wonder that often only comes about when we discover something beautiful for the first time, reminding us of the inherent beauty that can be found in even the most mundane of things.
